Lafayette Square, CA

Lafayette Square is heralded as the last and greatest of banker George Crenshaw’s ten Los Angeles developments.  In 1913 Crenshaw set out to make the swankiest sub division in Los Angeles with many homes ranging from 5,000-6,000 square feet.  Through the years the neighborhood has been home to notable people such as the founder of Pepperdine University, George Pepperdine as well as actors W.C. Fields and Fatty Arbuckle.  Today it is apparent of the status the area once held with large yards and architectural styles including Neo-Federalist, Craftsman, Italianate, modern and Spanish Revival.
